A commemorative event was organized by Baloch National Movement (BNM) Kech-Gwadar Hankeen under the presidency of senior BNM member Yusuf Baloch to observe Baloch Martyrs’ Day.
Bahaar Baloch, Vice President of Hankeen, moderated the event. The gathering featured speeches by Dr. Jalal Baloch, Senior Vice Chairman of BNM; Baba GR, President of Hankeen; and Zainul Baloch, Deputy General Secretary.
The speakers emphasized that, historically, Baloch people have always valued their country and homeland above their own lives. Those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Balochistan did so with purpose, and their sacrifices were not in vain. If the Baloch allow fear of death to deter them from defending their land, they risk losing their identity forever. This struggle is not just about land, but about the survival and preservation of Baloch identity in the world.
They also stressed that no one sacrifices their valuable life without purpose, and doing so would be unwise. However, freedom is essential; without it, life loses all meaning and vibrancy. No nation can achieve prosperity or a better future without freedom. This struggle is about transforming a life of hardship into one of prosperity, seeking to escape the darkness of slavery and embrace the brightness of a free society. Slavery is a slow poison—once accepted, it gradually erases a nation’s existence and identity.
In his address, they stated that the legacy of martyrs begins on the day they lay down their lives, for martyrs never truly die but live on forever. Commemorating the martyrs today serves as a reminder to remain steadfast and unwavering in our path, just as they did.
The speakers also called on Baloch women to consider the Baloch movement as their own and to actively support it.
