Balochistan: An Occupied Country :

Balochistan, a vast and historic land, lies at the crossroads of South Asia, West Asia, and the Middle East. On August 11, 1947, its leaders declared independence, aspiring to chart their own future. Yet, on March 27, 1948, Pakistan invaded and forcibly annexed this sovereign nation, crushing its dreams of freedom.

Explore Balochistan on the map:

A Forced Occupation

Pakistan’s army overwhelmed Balochistan, pressuring its elected parliament to submit. When the Baloch leadership refused, the Khan of Baloch, Mir Ahmad Yar Khan, was coerced at gunpoint to sign an accession document. The Baloch nation denounced this coerced annexation, vowing to reclaim their independence.

The Spark of Resistance

Led by Prince Agha Abdul Karim, the Baloch launched an armed struggle immediately after the occupation. Despite overwhelming odds, their resolve remains unbroken—a testament to their unyielding spirit.

A Human Rights Crisis

Today, Balochistan endures unimaginable suffering:

Enforced Disappearances: Families torn apart, with loved ones vanishing without trace.

Extrajudicial Killings: Innocent lives extinguished by state forces.

Forced Displacement: Entire communities uprooted from their ancestral lands.

Chemical Attacks: Evidence of decomposed bodies reveals the use of banned weapons.

According to the Balochistan human rights group Paank, in January and February 2025 alone, 241 people were forcibly disappeared, and 26 were killed extrajudicially. Mass graves, like those uncovered in Khuzdar’s Totak area on January 17, 2014, bear witness to this brutality—17 bodies, most unidentifiable, linked to Pakistani military abductions.
The Pakistani army wages war on the Baloch nation, bombing unarmed civilians and turning Balochistan into a battleground. Yet, thousands of Baloch youth fight on, choosing resistance over surrendering their national identity, dreaming of a free and prosperous future.

Your Role to Save Humanity

  • Stay Informed: Learn the truth about Balochistan’s plight.
  • Demand Accountability: Urge your government to confront Pakistan’s human rights abuses.
  • Act Ethically: Oppose investments in Pakistan or occupied Balochistan by companies and institutions in your country.

Together, we can amplify the voice of an oppressed nation and support their quest for justice and independence.
