The Murgaap tragedy is undoubtedly a national calamity, but the sacrifices of the martyrs not only thwarted the conspiracies of the enemies but also exposed the deviants. These sacrifices have further revived the movement and given it new direction.

Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), Dr. Naseem Baloch, while addressing a ceremony held in memory of the Martyrs of Murgaap, stated that during the 77 years of slavery under Pakistan, three generations have endured state repression and occupation. These very sacrifices give rise to conscious, steadfast, and ideologically committed political activists.

The Murgaap tragedy has infused new energy into the Baloch national movement, and it has now become evident that the sacrifices of the martyrs have crushed the intentions of both the enemy and the deviants.

In addition to the central event, commemorative ceremonies were also organized by the Shaheed Rashid Zone (Mashkay-Awaran) and the Shaheed Anwar Advocate Zone (Kech-Gwadar) in remembrance of the Martyrs of Murgaap. These events were addressed by BNM Chairman Dr. Naseem Baloch, along with Junior Vice Chairman Babul Latif, Secretary General Dil Murad Baloch, Secretary of Information and Culture Qazi Dad Mohammad Rehan, Central Finance Secretary Nasir Baloch, Central Committee member Chief Aslam Baloch, CC member Mah Ganj Baloch, Talar Naz, and Zeeshan Manan.

Speakers noted that some prominent individuals, after deviating from the movement, joined the newly formed Balochistan National Democratic Party (BNDP) — a party created overnight under state patronage, much like the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP). Shaheed Ghulam Muhammad stood firm against them and defended the Baloch national movement. His sacrifice and unparalleled spirit kept his comrades from compromise and retreat, removed fear from their hearts, and inspired them to continue the struggle.

BNM leaders further stated that the martyrs raised their voices not only against external enemies but also against elements within the organization who were engaged in activities contrary to Baloch national interests. Shaheed Ghulam Muhammad, without concern for his life, assured the nation that he was not part of any deviation but was organizing the movement against the deviants. This very decision determined the future direction of both the movement and the nation.

They added that Shaheed Ghulam Muhammad preserved BNM because the deviants were operating under state terms to erase Baloch identity. The deals made by Tabeeb-e-Asghar and Tabeeb-e-Akbar (National Party leaders) served that very agenda. In contrast, the continued existence of BNM stood as a symbol of the protection of Baloch national identity and survival. The martyrdom of Fida Ahmed was an attempt to pave the way for deviation, but Ghulam Muhammad, by adhering to Fida’s vision, delivered a clear message of commitment to the freedom movement.

The speakers emphasized that nations which begin the struggle for their freedom are destined to succeed one day. It is a time-consuming and patience-testing journey, but its final outcome is always victory. Leadership may be sacrificed, but the journey of the movement continues. Thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs, the Baloch movement is advancing toward its destination, guided by their thoughts and philosophy.

During the ceremony held in memory of the Martyrs of Murgaap, satisfaction was expressed over BNM’s performance. It was noted that BNM is making progress in every sector, bringing the goal of Baloch national freedom closer, and playing an effective, multidimensional role.
