Leipzig, Germany – Shar Hassan, President of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) Germany Chapter, called for increased international support for the Baloch nation’s struggle for freedom and self-determination during a recent event in Leipzig.
Speaking at Pöge-Haus, Hassan highlighted the historical injustices faced by the Baloch people and the ongoing human rights abuses committed by the Pakistani state. He emphasized the importance of preserving Baloch cultural identity and dignity, which have been under threat for decades.
Shar Hassan stated: “Today, our fight is not just for our land, but for our dignity, culture, and identity, which have been systematically erased for decades. In this struggle, we are not alone. The international solidarity we witness, like today’s gathering, strengthens our movement and sends a clear message: the world is watching. We call on the global community to not only hear our cries for justice but to actively stand with us in our fight for a free Balochistan.”
The event, attended by a diverse group of individuals, focused on the recent wave of protests in Balochistan and the crucial role of women in the movement. Hassan urged the global community to raise awareness and take concrete action in support of the Baloch cause.
Following his presentation, participants engaged in a Q&A session, exploring the historical context of the Baloch struggle, the challenges faced by the movement, and the potential for international support.
