Speaking at a seminar organized by the Baloch National Movement (BNM) in Berlin, Germany, on the occasion of Baloch Martyrs’ Day 2025, the Coordinator of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) Germany, Qadir Shah Ansari, said that the Baloch and Pashtun nations are enduring systematic aggression, enforced disappearances, and grave human rights violations at the hands of the Pakistani military establishment.
He urged the international community to raise its voice against military rule and in support of an accountable civilian democratic system.
Qadir Shah Ansari paid rich tribute to the Baloch martyrs, saying their sacrifices stand as a symbol of the ideal of a free Balochistan. “We stand in solidarity with these martyrs and their courageous families, who have laid down their lives for freedom and dignity,” he stated.
Highlighting the historic bond between the Pashtun and Baloch peoples, Ansari said that their lands, culture, and struggle are deeply interconnected. “These communities have been inseparable for centuries, and the annual observance of Baloch-Pashtun Unity Day on August 31st stands as a testament to this enduring brotherhood,” he added.
He further noted that despite state repression and restrictions on cultural and linguistic freedoms, both nations continue their struggle to preserve their identity and language.
Addressing the global community, Qadir Shah Ansari emphasized, “If the world truly believes in democratic values, it cannot remain silent when the will of the people is overshadowed by military power.” He asserted that true democracy flourishes only when decisions are made by accountable civilian governments, not by institutions imposed through force.
In conclusion, Ansari reaffirmed that the sacrifices of the Baloch martyrs will keep the struggle for justice and freedom alive, and that solidarity among oppressed nations remains their greatest strength.
