It is our national, patriotic, and political duty to reflect on this announcement—its message, and background—analyze and understand it at the national level, and respond accordingly. Such statements should not be regarded as superficial or mere declarations, as they are extensive and multifaceted. I believe a comprehensive response must be formulated at the national level by thoroughly analyzing and understanding all aspects of this government decision and announcement.
Firstly, as a nation, we must consider that the Pakistani government consistently claims that a military operation will be carried out in Balochistan—threats of future offensives are repeatedly made. The use of language and specific wording here is a deliberate psychological tactic, employing the “future tense” to achieve multiple objectives: concealing ongoing military actions, horrific collective punishment, and genocide, while simultaneously diverting public attention from the real issues and current situations under the guise of an anticipated operation. This systematic and modern propaganda aims to create the impression that the Pakistani state and military are not currently active in Balochistan and that any action will occur only in the future or the coming days.
Through this strategy, the Pakistani state and army not only conceal their ongoing actions but also cultivate a false narrative among their people, suggesting that no significant steps have yet been taken in Balochistan. Simultaneously, they attempt to intimidate the Baloch with future threats, preventing them from focusing on the intensity and horrors of the current military actions.
Beyond the geographical importance of Balochistan for the Pakistani state and army, its unbridled exploitation of resources, and its role in strategic bargaining, the Baloch nation is treated merely as a colony and enslaved population. We often emphasize that Balochistan is a region rich in mineral resources, yet this wealth cannot provide its inhabitants with even two meals a day or a peaceful life. True peace and prosperity can only be achieved on free land, where people have ownership of their resources. These military operations are not solely aimed at strategic security or strengthening the occupation but serve as a mechanism to sustain the plunder of Baloch national resources. Under the guise of these operations, the army, its affiliated agencies, and senior military officers secure additional budgets and privileges beyond the regular defense budget. Evidence of this lies in the personal wealth of senior military officers posted in Balochistan, whose fortunes often reach billions of dollars within two years. This wealth is amassed through the bloodshed of the Baloch people and the looting of their resources.
Whenever the state announces new and more horrific actions, it is an acknowledgment that Baloch resistance organizations have successfully challenged it through guerrilla warfare over the past two decades. These organizations, supported by their sanctuaries and widespread popular backing across the vast geography and rugged mountains of Balochistan, repeatedly launch attacks on the army. The guerrilla warfare strategy, combined with extensive popular support, enables them to strike Pakistani forces and retreat to secure locations. The past twenty years of war history testify that the Pakistani army has been unable to respond effectively to this strategy. As a result, the army vents its frustration over its failures on ordinary Baloch civilians, subjecting the nation to collective punishment in an attempt to force them to withdraw from the movement and accept the state system. Under this strategy of collective punishment, the Pakistani army targets unarmed civilians and educated youth, forcibly disappears them, subjects them to inhuman torture, and often kills them extrajudicially. These atrocities are clear evidence that, instead of admitting its failure, the state machinery is intensifying its offensive on an already oppressed people.
The state statements and ongoing military aggression in Balochistan are part of a deep conspiracy aimed at depriving the Baloch nation of their fundamental rights and exploiting the resources of their land. These actions not only violate human rights but also contravene international laws and principles. The world must acknowledge that the people of Balochistan are striving for their rights and freedom, and denying them their right to self-determination constitutes a grave injustice.
It is time for the rights of the Baloch people and their resistance to be acknowledged globally, and for a united voice to rise against state atrocities. State repression and psychological tactics will not demoralize the Baloch nation; instead, they will further strengthen their struggle for freedom.
The silence and inaction of international institutions regarding this entire situation amount to complicity in this genocide. This inaction is not only a grave violation of human rights but also a reflection of the international community’s neglect of its moral and legal responsibilities, further intensifying the suffering of the Baloch nation.

Under these schemes, the Baloch people are being forcibly evicted from their lands, and their natural resources are being seized. In response, the Baloch people are resisting at all levels. Pakistan, however, frames this resistance as an obstacle to development or part of global conspiracies, while committing atrocities and war crimes. Meanwhile, China is visibly present on Baloch soil with clear imperialist and expansionist intentions. This poses a direct threat to Baloch land, national identity, and survival. Furthermore, China seeks to assert its supremacy in the ongoing struggle for regional dominance. The China-Pakistan alliance is actively encroaching on our homeland, but we will resist it on every front.
