Peterborough: We are proud to be followers of Shaheed Ghulam Muhammad. Ghulam Muhammad and his companions sacrificed for the freedom of the Baloch motherland and became immortal.
These views were expressed by the party’s central leaders while addressing a commemorative organised by the Peterborough unit of the Baloch National Movement UK chapter in memory of Murgaap martyrs.
They Said: “Today, the occupying enemy has banned every political and social worker in our motherland. Despite this, everyone, including Baloch youth, the elderly and women, struggles for their freedom according to their capacity. On the other hand, political workers in the diaspora have succeeded in telling the world that Baloch are demanding their independent homeland, which is their basic human right.”
They denied that the Baloch could serve their interests through Pakistani parliamentary politics. They said that today the people of Balochistan are forced to live below the poverty line, and the reason for this is only Baloch national slavery. Even in these circumstances, some people are looking for a solution to the problem of Baloch and Balochistan by providing roads and employment by becoming facilitators of the Pakistani army. “They live in a fool’s paradise.”
They said that the martyrdom of Ghulam Muhammad and his colleagues did not weaken the morale of the Baloch nation. Today, thousands of Baloch children follow Ghulam Muhammad and are fighting for the end of slavery through peaceful struggle, armed resistance and other means. “The day is not far that the heirs of the martyrs will be able to free their homeland from the enemy’s clutches.”
The said reference was presided over by BNM Peterborough Unit Secretary Rehan Baloch.BNM Junior Joint Secretary Hasan Dost Baloch was the event’s chief guest, while Niaz Baloch, a member of the Central Committee of BNM, was the guest of honour. Deputy Unit Secretary Haroon Baloch performed the duties of the stage secretary. The reference started with a two-minute silence in memory of the martyrs as per traditions.
