Hassan Dost Baloch, the Junior Joint Secretary of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), delivered a speech at the death anniversary ceremony of Sain GM Syed, organized by the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) in the UK. He remarked that Sain GM Syed is not only a towering figure of politics, thought, and nationalism in Sindh but also across the entire subcontinent. His death anniversary serves as an opportunity for us to revisit and reflect on our historical heritage.

He explained that Sain GM Syed’s life began with tragedy, as he was orphaned at a young age. The murder of his father and the British colonial policy of “divide and rule” profoundly affected his family. Despite growing up under British supervision, Sain GM Syed nurtured a spirit of free thought and revolutionary ideology, mastered multiple languages, and developed deep political awareness.

Hassan Dost Baloch revealed that at just 15 years old, Sain GM Syed embarked on his political journey with the Khilafat Movement. After joining both the Congress and the Muslim League, he quickly realized the necessity of a distinct struggle for Sindh’s national identity. This realization led him to establish the Sindhudesh Movement, with the goal of ensuring indigenous control over Sindh’s resources and future.

In conclusion, Hassan Dost Baloch emphasized that in today’s challenging times, we must draw guidance from the vision of Sain GM Syed. The historical, cultural, and political ties between Sindh and Balochistan demand our united efforts. The life of Sain GM Syed teaches us that awareness, education, and an unyielding commitment are the most powerful tools in the fight against oppression and enslavement.
