Naseer Ahmed Baloch, President of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) South Korea chapter, marked the occasion of his daughter Hafsa Baloch’s wedding in a unique and heartfelt way — by gifting her a book he authored himself.
Speaking about the gesture, he shared,
“The wealthy of the world give their daughters diamonds, gold jewelry, luxurious homes, and extravagant gifts to showcase their wealth and status. But I have always believed that true wealth is not locked in bank accounts or jewelry boxes. Real wealth is the kind that transforms minds across generations — that places not just glittering ornaments in a daughter’s hands, but a torch for national liberation.”
Regarding the book, BNM’s Information Secretary Qazi Dad Mohammad Rehan noted:
“Titled ‘From Enforced Slavery to Intellectual Freedom’, the book does not address one individual alone, but presents the foundational ideology and philosophy of the Baloch movement in clear and accessible language. It covers topics that are essential reading for new members of the party and can serve as both a curriculum and training guide. I strongly recommend its study within party circles.”
The book also includes an introductory piece by Qazi Rehan titled ‘From Pourucista to Hafsa’, drawing a historical parallel:
“When Kamash Naseer told me about his idea, I was immediately reminded of Zarathushtra Spitama — the revered figure we know as Prophet Zarathushtra (Zoroaster). On the occasion of his daughter Pourucista’s wedding, he did not offer her material riches, but instead gifted her the wealth of wisdom and insight. He urged her to shun falsehood and wrongdoing, and to remain firmly rooted in truth.”
In the preface, Naseer Ahmed Baloch writes:
“This booklet is not only a gift to my daughter, but to every Baloch daughter who holds on to hope in prison cells, who sacrifices yet never backs down.”
Published by Zrumbesh Publications, the book has been released in PDF format. The cover features a natural rock formation along the Baloch coast known as Ostāni Banuk (The Princess of Hope), while the back displays a photo of a protest where a young girl holds an image of imprisoned Baloch leader Dr. Mahrang Baloch.
Qazi Rehan further commented on the importance of digital publishing:
“Technology is the most efficient means of rapid publication and widespread distribution. Releasing the book in PDF format allows it to reach thousands of readers instantly and without cost. Within the first 15 minutes, 180 people had already downloaded it. That’s why I prioritize PDFs, though we also plan to publish a printed version soon. I am truly moved by the author’s deep commitment to the freedom movement and hope this book is read with the same spirit in which it was written.”
Naseer Ahmed Baloch currently serves as the President of BNM South Korea. His daughter, Hafsa Baloch, is also an active member of the organization. She has previously worked for Radio Zrumbesh and regularly participates in party protests and events.
