Shaal: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) spokesperson has warned that Pakistan wants to spill blood in Balochistan during the upcoming so-called elections.

In a statement, the spokesperson said that Pakistan employs enforced disappearances as a tool for coercing individuals into voting and sowing fear through increased state oppression. During Pakistani elections in the past, there was a also noticeable rise in human rights violations and the incidence of enforced disappearances.

He said military killings and enforced disappearances have escalated to a troubling extent in Balochistan. Additionally, the process of recovering forcefully missing persons has been experiencing a decrease.

The spokesperson said, there have been several cases of enforced disappearances in Dera Bugti in the past few days. The occurrences of killings and disappearances persist unabated in the Awaran and Kech districts.

He said that the Pakistani army’s violence in Balochistan has led to a rise in mental illness and suicide among youths and an overall increase in fear and anxiety in society.

The spokesperson said, Pakistani election candidates engage in verbal attacks during election campaigns. While, in occupied Balochistan, people are forced to participate in fake elections by the Pakistani armed forces.

The Pakistan Army is conspiring to generate a civil war-like scenario in Balochistan and cause extensive violence during the recent elections. This move is to mask their crimes against humanity by portraying it as a political or tribal conflict. In Wadh and other areas, the Pakistan Army is trying to implement the same conspiracy through its facilitator death squads to pave the way to set up the next puppet government.
