The spokesperson for the Baloch National Movement (BNM) stated that in Mashkai Gujjar, Pakistan army-affiliated assailants targeted and killed two long-time BNM supporters: Abdul Haq, son of Jangi Khan, and Liaqat, son of Neeksaal. Abdul Haq had been detained and forcibly disappeared numerous times by the Pakistan Army, during which he endured severe torture.

The spokesman noted that Shaheed Abdul Haq’s pro-freedom family had long stood in solidarity with the party. Despite facing relentless atrocities from the enemy, the family embraced the philosophy of sacrifice, choosing to remain committed to the movement rather than abandoning it. Ultimately, they paid the price for their unwavering loyalty.

He explained that Shaheed Abdul Haq’s family consisted of shepherds living in the Mashkai mountain range. On January 21, 2016, the Pakistan Army killed Abdul Wahid, son of Jangi Khan, and Dilshad, son of Mir Muhammad Rahim Mahammad Hasani, in Manju Mashkai, looted their homes, and set them ablaze. Despite this devastation, the attacks and raids by the Pakistan Army continued. Exhausted by repeated assaults, the family was forced to abandon their homeland and livelihood, relocating to Mashkay Parwar, but even there, the persecution did not stop.

The spokesman noted that after the family’s relocation to Mashkay Parwar, the army continued targeting them, both directly and through hired assassins.

On June 14, 2018, agents of the Pakistan Army attacked their home in Parwar Mashkai, killing Mubarak, son of Lashkari, and Mohabbate Khan, son of Mubarak, while injuring Noor-ul-Haq. On June 30, 2023, the Pakistan Army killed Muhammad Isa, son of Jangi Khan, and injured his young son, Sameer, in Joongu Mashkai. Most recently, on October 21, 2024, Abdul Haq, son of Jangi Khan, and Liaqat, son of Neeksaal, were targeted and killed in Gujar Mashkai. A year earlier, Abdul Haq filmed the persecution of his family, which was later published by Zrumbesh News. At that time, Shaheed Abdul Haq, living near military camps, used cautious language in his video, yet the ongoing atrocities and their perpetrators were still evident.

The spokesperson added that thousands of families, like that of Shaheed Abdul Haq, are enduring persecution and facing horrific genocide at the hands of the Pakistan Army. Despite its widespread violence, Pakistan is failing to weaken the people’s commitment to the freedom movement.
