Dil Murad Baloch, the Information Secretary of Baloch National Movement criticized the inquiry commission report on missing persons. He said that Pakistani official and private institutions had trespassed all limits to make the case of missing persons controversial; the last days released statistics were an insult to the injuries of the families of the missing persons.

He said , “all institutions of Pakistan, including judiciary are equally responsible for the genocide of Baloch people; Baloch nation has no expectations on them; time and again Pakistan army and intelligence agencies in order to divert the attention of the world, create fabricated stories and provide statistics which are far from the reality.”

Dil Murad Baloch stated that on eve of the international day of human rights the inquiry committee said in the report that this year only 899 were enforced disappeared throughout Pakistan. He added, “And we categorically reject this findings of the commission. In fact the inquiry commission had been formed to hide the war crimes of Pakistan.”

While rejecting the report, the information secretary said, “ in reality, from January to October more than one thousand persons were enforced disappeared only from occupied Balochistan; all of the missing persons are enduring torture in the torture cells of Pakistan army and intelligence agencies,”

He said. “If the missing persons of Sindh and Pushtunkawa are added with the numbers of Baloch missing persons, the actual number of the missing persons would be greater several times than the statistics that are provided by the Justice Javid Iqbal commission.”

Dil Murad Baloch iterated that when the prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan himself had confessed, then there would not be any doubt that the number of Baloch missing persons was in thousands those had been languishing in the army’s torture cells. Since 2001, form the initial phase Musharraf regime, an unending series of enforced disappearance was initiated where thousands of Baloch went missing , including Asghar Ali Bangulzai. During Musharraf era, then federal interior minister, Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, had claimed the illegal detention of four thousand people, but no one among them was recovered. Similarly, during the tenure of Dr Malik and Sanaullah Zahri as chief ministers of Balochistan, that time interior secretary of province Akbar Hussain Durrani and interior minister Sarfaraz Bugti had claimed respectively that nine thousands and eleven thousand people were arrested during several military operations. Only this number is more than twenty-five thousand. The total is more than forty thousand.

Dil Murad Baloch said that Baloch National Movement for last five years had been printing the monthly reports of Pakistani atrocities and of Baloch genocide, which provide detail information of those who had been whisked away by Pakistan army and intelligence agencies.

The central Information Secretary of BNM Dil Murad Baloch said: “Pakistan has lost its dignity and trust in international community; now time has arrived that the responsible international organizations take the notice of humanitarian crisis in Balochistan and take due action against Pakistan.”
