Quetta: Baloch National Movement (BNM) Central spokesman has said that we had already warned that Pakistan Army will intensify its operations against natives of Balochistan. Now that Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) refused to take action against protesters in Islamabad saying, “we can’t use force against our own people”, this makes a clear distinction between the people of Balochistan and Pakistan.

On one hand the Army chief exerted to bring intensity on operations in Balochistan, but on the other hand, despite the government’s approval and supreme court orders, Army refused to take action on protesters. This shows the reality and true face of so-called democracy in Pakistan.

In Pakistan, doors for politics and agitation are only open to the people of Punjab but are closed to the oppressed and the occupied nations such in the case of Balochistan. Army chief’s statement is an eye-opener for those political organizations that want to work within the Pakistani framework. As far as Balochistan is concerned, Baloch people won’t be fooled anymore.

He further stated that the Baloch people must heed to this statement of army Chief who created a hell in Balochistan. This army is evolved in genocide of Baloch nation and the doors for democratic struggle are barred in Pakistan. Pakistan is transgressing all limits to suppress the Baloch people’s voice and bar access to the international community. Meanwhile Pakistani security forces are indiscriminately abducting children, women and unarmed civilians in broad daylight. Pakistan Army has so far abducted thousands of people in last seventeen years of Balochistan’s history.

Despite the constant pressure from Pakistani security forces and their unending wait, the families of enforced disappeared have not yielded to raise their voices for their loved ones. But the terrorist sponsoring state and its army has imposed a ban on press conferences of the families of missing persons and Baloch Human Rights Organization (BHRO) and the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons at Karachi and Quetta Press Clubs. While forcibly suppressing the voices and protests of the Baloch people, it clearly shows that Pakistan is losing.

Pakistani media is playing a big role along with states machineries to hide the state terrorism. On account of this stance of media, state has increased the level of barbarity by intensifying abduction, killing and burning of houses during operations. These barbaric acts are hidden from the world because of the silence of media.

The spokesman said that the media houses and so-called Human Rights organizations would stand beside Pakistan on war crimes over their silence on Baloch genocide.
