The central spokesperson of the Baloch National Movement said that eleven years have passed since the abduction of Dr. Deen Mohammad Baloch. The state of Pakistan had been abducting intellectuals, leaders and committed activists to weaken the struggle for a free Balochistan. Thousands of people have been whisked away by Pakistan army and spy agencies and these practices are continued till today.
The central spokesperson said that Pakistan intelligence agencies abducted Dr. Deen Mohammad on 28 June 2009 form Ornach in district Khuzdar while he was performing his duties there as a doctor. Deen Mohammad Baloch was not only a leader of the Baloch National Movement but also was providing his services as an efficient and excellent physician in the health department. Keeping him in the secret Pakistani torture cells for years is nothing less than a human tragedy. His family has been going through inexplicable agonies and sufferings.”
He added, “Dr. Deen Mohammad Baloch is one among thousands of Baloch missing persons who have been enduring tortures in secret torture cells of Pakistan. Now, eleven years have elapsed since his abduction. Sammi Baloch and Mehlab Baloch, both daughters of Dr. Deen Mohammad have struggled extraordinarily for the safe release of theirs.
Sammi and Mehlab Baloch who started their protest as children have now grown up to age all the while protesting in front of press clubs. In their long journey and struggle, they were part of the historical long March conducted by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) from Quetta to Islamabad but no one provided them justice.”
He said that Pakistan had started targeting the families of Baloch Political workers while employing the policy of collective punishment and they did not even spare women and children. “The purpose of this policy of collective punishment is to uproot and stifle Baloch national struggle for freedom. But the Baloch nation and political workers have proved themselves as an iron wall against all these atrocities. Surely, we are deeply saddened by the abduction of political leaders like Dr. Deen Mohammad and the martyrdom of thousands of others but we have strong faith that the significant sacrifices of our political prisoners and martyrs will be compensated in the shape of getting our cherished dream of a free and sovereign Balochistan.”
The central spokesman of BNM informed that programs and social media campaigns would be organized all across the world per our perspective of informing the world about the issue ‘enforced disappearance of Dr. Deen Mohammad and thousands of other Baloch missing persons.’
On the 28th of June, Baloch National Movement will run a campaign on social media with the hashtag #SaveDrDeenMohdBaloch.
