Baloch National Movement central information secretary Dil Murad Baloch issued the monthly report of May 2019. It was the holy month of Ramazan too. He said the atrocities by Pakistani forces remained continued in Balochistan.

He said that in the month of May Pakistani Military had carried out more than 25 military operations in different areas of Balochistan. During those military operations, 49 persons were whisked away, 39 dead bodies were found, 18 Baloch martyred, the reason of 11 persons’ killing couldn’t be traced, 10 dead bodies couldn’t be identified. From them, 9 people were those which Pakistan Army had claimed the responsibility of their death in Mastung. The fact is that those people were in custody of Pakistani military and killed in a fake encounter. Seven abductees were released who were abducted last month. However, during military operations, more than 50 houses were looted. Security forces tortured innocent people, women, and children during these operations.

BNM’s Information Secretary added that innocent children and women have been the victim of enforced disappearances in the month of May. A Baloch mother Bibi Ayesha w/o Allah Bakhsh along with her two daughters, Bibi Mahtap and sixteen years old Naila were arrested and shifted to military camps from Gwadar. Bibi Aisha’s husband is still in custody of security forces. The victim family is resident of Shapuk area of district Kech, they migrated from Shapuk to Gwadar due to military operations. During two days of detention, they were tortured both mentally and physically. Later on, the women were released but Allah Bakhsh is still missing.

He further added,” Pakistan has infused the law of jungle; Pakistan Army and intelligence agencies of Pakistan are roaming around in Balochistan like enraged elephants. The laws of human and national dignities do not have any value and importance in front of them. Cruelties and brutalities are continued unabated for the last nineteen years.

Dil Murad Baloch added that Baloch National Movement is continuously highlighting and saying that a humanitarian tragedy and humanitarian crisis have emerged in Balochistan. The humanity is gasping here and human rights violations are on its peak. Hence, due to the silence of the United Nations and other international human rights organizations, the humanitarian crisis is worsening in Balochistan.

He asserted, “there is a complete media blackout in Balochistan, the so-called “free media“ of Pakistan is engrossed in promoting of Pakistani narrative, and international media is oblivious with the problem of Balochistan. The situation of human rights violation is so serious in Balochistan that the time has come for the United Nations to immediately intervene here”.
