Stop the Atrocities in Occupied Balochistan

For over a month, the tehsil of Zehri in Khuzdar district, occupied Balochistan, has been under relentless ground and aerial assaults by the Pakistan Army.

In mid-September 2025, the Pakistan Army launched an offensive aimed at crushing the growing Baloch national resistance movement. Zehri has long been a stronghold of the Baloch freedom struggle and pro-Baloch political activism. This is not the first time the area has suffered: in the past, the army and its local agents have carried out killings, enforced disappearances, and mass burials. Hundreds of people have been abducted, extrajudicially executed, and dumped into unmarked graves.

These crimes are not unknown. Pakistani officials, state-controlled media, and even the military itself have acknowledged the violence in both formal and informal statements. While the real death toll is believed to be much higher, the army has publicly admitted to at least 14 killings in Zehri during the month of October 2025.

To justify these atrocities, the Pakistan Army uses deceptive and inflammatory labels such as “Fitna al-Hindustan” and “Fitna al-Khawarij”—terms designed to provoke anger among the Punjabi population and win support for its campaign of ethnic cleansing. This is the behavior of an irresponsible occupying power that seeks to strip oppressed nations of their political and human rights by falsely linking them to foreign enemies.

Recent Civilian Killings in Zehri

September 17, 2025:
A Pakistani drone strike near Tarsani killed Amna (wife of Sanaullah, aged 40), Lal Bibi (wife of Ali Akbar), and Mohammad Hassan (son of Mohammad Yaqoob, aged 30). Several others were injured. The Pakistan Army later confirmed the drone attack.

October 5, 2025:
Using gunship helicopters, the army shelled civilian areas in Charhi, Mola Pass, Zehri, for over an hour. The attack killed four children, one woman, and one man.

BNM’s Call to the International Community

The Baloch National Movement (BNM) calls on the international community, human rights organizations, and democratic governments to take urgent notice of these war crimes and human rights violations in Balochistan.

Pakistan is a terrorist state that exploits the resources of the Baloch and other oppressed nations. It trades Balochistan’s geography and wealth on the international stage to secure political and economic favors—a reality reflected in the shameful appeasement of Pakistan’s generals and politicians by Western leaders. This impunity must end.

Baloch Freedom Is Essential for Peace

The freedom of Balochistan is not only vital for the survival and dignity of the Baloch nation—it is also essential for peace and stability in the entire region and the world.
