Leverkusen — Safia Manzoor, Vice President of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) Germany Chapter, addressed the 19th Zîlan Women’s Festival held in Leverkusen, Germany, highlighting the ongoing state repression against Baloch women and grave human rights violations in Balochistan. In her speech, she presented prominent cases including those of Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Mahjabeen Baloch, Bebow Baloch, and Gulzadi Baloch, emphasizing that the Pakistani state is systematically using repression to silence women.

During her address, Safia Manzoor revealed that according to the latest report by Paank — BNM’s Human Rights Department — 306 enforced disappearances and 205 extrajudicial killings were documented in Balochistan during the first six months of 2025 alone. She added that since 2011, over 5,000 Baloch citizens, including students, political activists, and women, have been forcibly disappeared.
She also spoke about the sacrifices and resistance of Baloch women and expressed full solidarity with the Kurdish women’s movement and other oppressed nations around the world.

On the sidelines of the festival, the BNM representative engaged in discussions with feminist activists from across Europe, exploring possibilities for future collaboration. Several Kurdish and European organizations expressed interest in supporting the Baloch women’s movement.
Safia Manzoor emphasized that amplifying women’s voices is crucial to sustaining the Baloch national movement on the global stage. She underscored the importance of BNM’s continued participation in international human rights and feminist platforms across Europe. She concluded by stressing the need to systematically document the repression faced by Baloch women and use European networks to raise international awareness and mobilize global public opinion.
