Panjgur: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) Panjgur Hankeen (Zone) held a commemorative ceremony to mark the first anniversary of the Shamsar tragedy. The event was attended by party members and supporters.

On this occasion, the speakers remembered the Shamsar tragedy, stating that the Pakistan Army is unleashing immense atrocities on the Baloch nation. Every day, people are forcibly disappeared and killed. On January 18, 2024, in an airstrike by the Pakistan Army in Shamsar, Ali Dost, son of Mahmood, known to all as Chairman Dosta, was martyred along with his entire family. His three-month-old son Chirag, five-year-old son Babar, seven-year-old daughter Hani Dost, and Chairman Dosta’s wife, Shazia, were all martyred in the airstrike. In the same attack, four members of another family of Baloch activists—Najma, Mahikan, Mahzeb, and Farhad—were also martyred. This tragedy has been recorded as an unforgettable chapter of Pakistani atrocities and Baloch sacrifices in the Baloch struggle, one that we will never forget.

Addressing the participants, members of the BNM Central Committee stated that this is an unprecedented incident in history where the enemy targeted and killed a Baloch nationalist political activist along with his entire family. The Baloch are making immense sacrifices, including their families, for their freedom but remain resolute and unwavering in their struggle.

They said that Chairman Dosta was a dedicated national activist, a multidimensional and consistently active figure for the national movement. He lived with dignity and embraced martyrdom with the dignity. He was a national activist whose organizational affiliation was with BNM, yet he always supported the activists of other organizations and never discriminated among them.

They said that the sacrifices of national martyrs serve as a source of courage and inspiration for us. We will always honor the sacrifices of all Baloch martyrs. We must pledge to follow the ideals and actions of the martyrs and continue our struggle until freedom is achieved. Sacrifices strengthen the movement and bring the goal of freedom closer.

In the mentioned program, members of the party cabinet and central committee delivered speeches, while the event was chaired by the organizer of BNM Panjgur Hankeen. During the ceremony, poets presented revolutionary poetry, and revolutionary music was also performed, in which revolutionary singers paid tribute to the Baloch martyrs.
