Dil Murad Baloch, Central Information Secretary of the Baloch National Movement, while releasing a detailed report for July 2021, said that in July, the Pakistan Army carried out more than 50 military operations and raids across Balochistan, leaving 29 people missing and 23 dead. Five of the victims had gone missing while they were killed in a fake CTD encounter, while two were killed by the army. The motive for the killing of 17 people could not be ascertained. This month, the Pakistani army looted several houses while 16 people were rescued from Pakistani torture cells.
Dil Murad Baloch said that in Gomazi, the Pakistani army tortured and killed Kegad Baloch, the cousin of former party (BNM) vice chairman Ghulam Nabi and a member of BNM. Ghulam Jan son of Shahi, a mentally ill shepherd, was killed in custody of Army in Tijabaan area of Kech and his body was handed over to the Civil Hospital administration. In Kech, Mullah Aziz, a local leader of the National Party and head of the Death Squad, picked up a young man and handed him over to the army.
He said that new barbaric tactics are being used against the Baloch. In Kolwah, the Pakistani army threatened the entire population of the village to relocate to Khuzdar.
He said that a tragic tactic of Baloch genocide was to kill those detainees in the name of fake encounters. Also this month, the military added a new chapter to its war crimes by killing five of the enforced disappeared at various times in the name of encounter with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
Dil Murad Baloch said that Pakistani war crimes are increasing day by day. The Pakistani military has crossed all limits in the Baloch genocide, but despite the obvious war crimes, it is surprising that no practical steps have been taken by the international community. In war-torn areas, it becomes imperative for international organizations to play their part, as this is the main purpose of their establishment. We are also living in a world where these global institutions have come into being to solve problems. We are conveying the situation in Balochistan to them through our reports and other means.
Dil Murad Baloch said that one of the reasons for Pakistan’s barbarism and war crimes in Balochistan is the silence of international organizations which Pakistan is using as an impunity.
