The central spokesperson of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) directed all the zones to hold reference and commemorative programs in memory of the martyrs of Murgaap, and pay homage to Martyrs of Murgaap: Chairman Ghulam Muhammad Baloch, Martyr Lala Munir Baloch, and Martyr Sher Muhammad Baloch, on the twelfth anniversary of their martyrdom. The central spokesperson informed, “An online meeting will be held in this regard.”
He exhorted, “This is the day of reiteration of our faith to the cause. This day urges us to further organize and intensify the struggle against the Pakistani occupation. BNM activists should hold awareness programs in the light of the teachings of Shaheed Ghulam Muhammad Baloch in order to meet the demands of the modern age.”
The spokesman said that the martyrdom of Wajah Ghulam Muhammad Baloch, Lala Munir Baloch and Sher Muhammad Baloch gave a new dimension to the Baloch national struggle. Pakistan formally launched the policy of “Kill and Dump” by throwing the mutilated bodies of Wajah Ghulam Muhammad and his associates and later several Baloch were found at Murgaap. With these sacrifices, the national independence movement gained energy and the people’s spirits reached a new height. The enemy did not even imagine this reaction.
He said that on April 3, 2009, Pakistani forces arrested Wajah Ghulam Muhammad along with his companions in broad daylight from the office of his lawyer Kachkol Ali Advocate in Turbat city. During detention, they were tortured and martyred. On April 9, 2009, their mutilated bodies were found. This was the beginning of Pakistan’s “Kill and Dump” policy. Thousands of Baloch have fallen victim to this barbarism. Even the cruelty and barbarism of the state of Pakistan continues to date.
“On April 9, we will remember Chairman Ghulam Muhammad and his great colleagues,” he said. “We will continue to spread his teachings to the Baloch people. Every activist must take advantage of the teachings of Chairman Shaheed and follow in his footsteps.”
An online campaign will be launched on social media on 9th April to mark the twelfth anniversary of Chairman Ghulam Muhammad, the spokesman said. Everyone is requested to pay homage to great leaders of the Baloch nation by using the hashtag #MartyrsOfMurgaap.
