Sikhs’ rejoice on Kartarpur corridor would not restore the self-determination. Khalil Baloch

Khalil Baloch, Chairman of the Baloch National Movement, said in response to the opening of the Kartarpur corridor by Pakistan on the 500th anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, where the Baloch nation lost its independence, the Sikh nation also hand over its land, sacred places and historical heritage due to the emergence of Pakistan that resulted in division of Hindustan.

Today, instead of begging and seeking permission of Pakistan, the Sikh nation must repay the debts of history through unification of the Sikhs.

He said that by establishing ties with Pakistan and accepting centuries old Sikh heritages as a part of Pakistan by Navjit Singh Sidhu is tantamount to strike on Sikh’s national and religious collective identity; it is like spraying salt on Sikhs’ wounds.

BNM’s chairman stated that if Sikh politicians like Sidhu have feelings and pains for Sikh nation, instead of negotiating and establishing close ties with Pakistan they should demand and challenge the partition of their lands by British and seek independence for Sikh’s history & religious inheritance from Pakistan.

Chairman Khalil Baloch said that Sikhs rejoice on Kartarpur corridor would not restore the self determination rather they would be more dependent on Pakistan and it would authenticate Pakistan’s occupation. The purpose of opening Kartarpur is not sympathy with Sikhs, rather Pakistan has become bankrupt and alienated at international arena due to its pro terrorist policies and it is a failed attempt to bail-out itself from economic crisis.

Instead of saving the sinking ship of Pakistan and take the burnt of history, Sikh leadership should stand with the truth and struggle to secure the religious and sacred places of Sikhs from the hands of Pakistan.

Khalil Baloch commented that the division of India is a tragedy in human history. Baloch, Sindhi and Pashtun suffered immensely to the division of India and the conspiracy of Western powers by creating of Pakistan. As Pakistan is an enemy of the Baloch and other nations, in the same fashion Singh Sidhu would not be able to gauge the attachment and emotions of the people to their sacred places. While embracing the murderer of thousands of innocent people and begging for a corridor is an insult to their national mandate.
