The chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), Dr. Naseem Baloch, has said Balochistan is moving towards freedom from Pakistan’s occupation and exploitation. He made these remarks in a conversation with India Narrative journalist Rahul Kumar on Twitter Space.
Dr. Baloch said Pakistan is following a “gold and blood policy,” meaning it is plundering Balochistan’s wealth by shedding Baloch blood.
He said that the Baloch people are not asking for a share of their wealth but for their land, where they could live as free and sovereign people. He said this was their goal and right, based on historical facts and international law.
He said the Baloch struggle is comprehensive and organized, with political resistance and a diaspora abroad. He noted that many Baloch people had left Balochistan and settled in various countries where they are part of the freedom movement.
He expressed confidence that Balochistan is heading for independence, although he could not say how long it would take.
He said it is a mass movement with widespread participation and support from the Baloch nation. He said that the Baloch nation cannot tolerate slavery and colonialism anymore.

He said that the independence of Balochistan would bring prosperity and peace to the Baloch people and positively impact the whole region.
He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a massive infrastructure project that links China’s Xinjiang region with Balochistan’s Gwadar port, is a source of plunder, displacement, and conflict. He said that the Baloch people are fighting for their freedom and dignity against the China-Pakistan alliance, which he compared to the genocide in Bangladesh before its independence. He said Balochistan is heading for independence and would benefit the whole region.

The Baloch National Movement’s (BNM) chairman, Dr. Naseem Baloch, has responded to questions on the Baloch freedom struggle in this debate. He said the BNM and other parties had to operate underground in Balochistan due to Pakistan’s “kill and dump” policy. He said they use a cell system to mobilize people for the freedom cause.
He said the Baloch movement is not about resources but about the freedom of Baochistan. He said the Baloch movement existed before Pakistan and before the discovery of resources in Balochistan. He said the Baloch people want to escape Pakistan’s occupation and exploitation.
