The Baloch National Movement (BNM) held a protest rally at Amsterdam’s Dam Square in the Netherlands to mark the International Day of Enforced Disappearances. A significant number of BNM members participated, carrying placards and photos of victims of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, and chanting slogans against human rights violations.

Among the protesters, Abdul Wahid, Muheem Abdul Rahim, Shari Waleed, Aalia Bakshi Baloch, Islam Murad Baloch, Basit Zaheer Baloch, Zahra Baloch, Abdul Waheed Baloch and Dr. Latif Baloch spoke out, highlighting that thousands of people in Balochistan have been forcibly disappeared by the Pakistan army and secret agencies. The victims include political workers, students, doctors, lawyers, and ordinary citizens, with thousands of mutilated bodies subsequently recovered.

They stated that the Pakistan army in Balochistan offers no concrete reasons for enforced disappearances, and most of the victims either never return or their bodies are found bearing signs of torture. These atrocities, which have persisted for a long time, represent a severe humanitarian crisis and a serious human rights issue. The local population in the region faces state persecution, economic exploitation, and injustice, while the international community remains completely silent on these atrocities.

” Military aggression, extrajudicial killings, and the inhumane treatment of civilians have become routine in Balochistan. Despite repeated demands from various organizations for investigations and accountability, no substantial action has been taken to address these incidents.”

In conclusion, he urged the international community and human rights organizations to speak out against forced disappearances and atrocities in Balochistan, calling for a ban on these actions by Pakistani authorities.
