Khalil Baloch, Chairman of Baloch National Movement, mourned the death of Asma Jahangir: the prominent human rights champion and lawyer.
Chairman Khalil Baloch said, “Asma Jahangir, without making distinction of color, race, religion and nationality struggled for the grievances of oppressed and persecuted; she raised her voice for them at every forum.” He condoled her death and said, “We offer our deepest condolences to her family,”
BNM Chairman applauded her struggle for Baloch missing persons and her stance on holding Pakistani security forces responsible for the abduction of Baloch political and social activists.
Khalil Baloch commented that Asma Jahangir always had a right approach toward Balochistan crisis. He added, she did not hold sway to state sponsored narrative; and Baloch nation looks her personality with great esteems and respect.
The chairman recalled that prominent Baloch politician Nawab Akbar Bugti who, was martyred by Pakistan Army in a military operation in 2006, had expressed his confidence on Asma Jahangir. Khalil Baloch mourned her death and said her death has created an acute draughts of righteous soul in Pakistan. He also paid rich tributes on her determination and bravery.
